Welcome to Triple Impact Consulting’s newsletter. My name is Faeez Juneja and I am the Newsletter Chief Editor for the 2020-2021 school year.
Our goal for the newsletter is to offer a compilation of interesting internship opportunities, commentary, news, and resources about the sustainability industry as well as serve as a forum to engage members, alumni, and speakers.

Dr. Varun Sivaram is one of the most interesting young leaders in the sustainability industry. Dr. Sivaram holds a B.S. in engineering physics and a B.A. in international relations from Stanford University where he was awarded a Truman Scholarship He also holds a PhD in Condensed Matter Physics from the University of Oxford where he was a Rhodes Scholar.
Dr. Sivaram is a 31-year old physicist, bestselling author, and clean energy technology expert with experience across corporate, public, and academic sectors. Most recently, he was the chief technology officer of ReNew Power, a multibillion-dollar company recognized as India’s largest producer of renewable energy. He was on the Forbes 30 under 30 list in 2017, and was named one of the TIME 100 Next most influential people in 2019. His previous stints include working at McKinsey, adjunct professor at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, advisory board for Stanford University, and advisor in many more organizations.
Currently, he is a Senior Research Scholar at the Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. His latest book, Energizing America: A Roadmap to Launch a National Energy Innovation Mission, released this past month and has been an incredible read. In the book, he outlines a strategic vision for policymakers to lead clean tech innovation in the fight against climate change.
